IMEI devices, used phones and trade-ins

This is optional. Turn it on for a product with Tracked by serial / IMEI on the product page. Then POS → Devices (IMEI) shows up in your menu.

1. Search by IMEI or product name. Scanning a full IMEI opens that device right away.
2. Filter by status: Available, Sold or Returned/damaged, or Used devices only.
3. Buy used: pick the item, then enter the IMEI, seller details, inspection results, battery health and purchase price.

How devices get into stock

• From a purchase, with a number for each unit.
• By buying a used device from a customer, or through a trade-in on a sale.

Selling by IMEI

• Scan the IMEI in the Point of sale search and that exact unit is added.
• Or click the item to see the available units and pick one.
• A unit can't be sold twice, and the IMEI is printed on the receipt.

Online orders

When a customer orders a serial-tracked product from your online store, open the order from Orders. You'll see a Devices (IMEI) section:

1. The units picked for this order. Click × next to a number to remove it.
2. Click Pick a unit and choose the unit you'll ship, or scan its IMEI with a barcode scanner.

• The picked unit shows the order number in its history, and profit uses its actual cost.
• If the order is canceled or fully returned, or you remove the product with Edit order, the unit goes back to available on its own.
• This only needs the Orders permission, not the cashier permission.

Trade-ins

On the sale, click Trade-in and enter the customer's device and its value. The value comes off the Amount due, and the device goes into stock as used.

Device history

Click any device to see its full history: when and from whom it was bought, when and to whom it was sold, any returns, and the inspection results for used devices.
